BEC (acronym) Empty BEC (acronym)

I found the acronym BEC appearing a lot in the entire text. Looks like it's already in English:

It's a kind of voltage regulator for electrical equipment.

Gaby via skype wrote:bombeo electrocentrífugo (BEC) - BEC is in the glossary as an equivalent term BEC=BEC, but although the acronym works in spanish, I don’t see the English congruence, any thoughts?

Gaby, this term has been in the forum for the last two days. Please make sure to read to forum items and respond to them if you have doubts or comments to make.

I added the term BEC to the glossary in the first few minutes of working on the project, and it looks like my reasoning ("battery eliminator circuit") was wrong and lacking context. I think your idea "bombeo electrocentrifugo", is correct, but as you said, BEC is not an English acronym. To make the change, we would have to establish an acronym along the lines of ECP (Electric Centrifugal Pumping) for it to work in the translation.

Looks like Electric Centrifugal Pump is a standard term:

Jeff - what do you think about changing the spanish acronym BEC (bombeo electrocentrifugo) to ECP (Electric Centrifugal Pumping) ? It occurs a lot throughout the entire text.

Gaby and I have both replaced all instances of BEC with ECP prior to delivery.
